Tapas: 3 easy ideas for a snack

If Spanish gastronomy has a hallmark, it is certainly the tapa! Exquisite morsels, miniature cuisine, perfect to savour with any wine, vermouth or beer and always in good company.

Today is World Tapas Day, and from Verde Esmeralda we want to give you some ideas to enjoy it to the fullest.

Eating a snack, informally and with friends is always a good idea. Write down these 3 ideas for snacking that you can easily make at home:

Camembert cheese triangles with a twist

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 camembert cheese
  • Parsley
  • Dried tomato
  • Black olives
  • Extra virgin olive oil picual variety

PREPARATION:

1.Cut the cheese into triangles.

Place a few parsley leaves and half a sun-dried tomato on top.

Pierce the montadito with a toothpick so that it doesn't fall apart and place a black olive on top of this delicious snack.

Triangles with salmon and cheese rolls

Bake some puff pastry triangles to use as a base for these delicious appetizers. Top with smoked salmon rolls filled with cream cheese and red onion.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry dough
  • 150 g smoked salmon
  • 5 tablespoons cream cheese
  • 5 pieces of red onion
  • 1 dash of lime juice
  • 1 piece of egg
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Parsley

PREPARATION:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180-200ºC.
  2. Cut the puff pastry into small triangles, place them on the baking tray on paper or silicone.
  3. Brush the puff pastry with the beaten egg and bake for about 15/20 minutes and carefully remove from the oven.
  4. Peel and finely chop the red onion and place in a bowl, add the cream cheese, salt, pepper and lime juice and mix well.
  5. Roll out the smoked salmon, cut into strips, put some of the filling on top and roll up.
  6. Place each roll on top of a triangle of puff pastry, decorate with a parsley leaf and that's it!

Canapé de salpicón

INGREDIENTS:

  • 250gr of cooked octopus (3 legs)
  • 100gr avocado
  • 1/2 green pepper
  • 1/2 red pepper
  • The juice of half a lemon
  • 3 teaspoons tahini
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Crakers

PREPARATION:

  1. Dice the octopus, avocado and peppers.
  2. Add a squeeze of lemon juice, 3 teaspoons of tahini, a dash of oil and mix well.
  3. Place the merzcla on top of the crakers and enjoy!
